| 説明 | Built in 2002, this Postmodern-style wing of the Cranbrook Art Museum and Library was designed by Rafael Moneo to provide additional gallery space, support space, and art studios to the Cranbrook Academy of Art and the affiliated museum. The building is clad in red brick, concrete, and metal panels, with large window bays, and many mechanical vents and chimneys on the exterior. The building is a noncontributing structure in the Cranbrook Historic District, listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1973, and designated a National Historic Landmark in 1989. |
