| 説明 | Built in 1938-1939, this Art Moderne style building was designed by Houston and Smith to replace an earlier theater on the same site, which was built in 1894 as a commercial building and renovated in 1907, 1909, and 1934. The building is clad in stucco with decorative painted geometric motifs, a large blade sign, glass block windows on the second floor, a stepped parapet, and a suspended metal canopy. The building is a contributing structure in the Ellis County Courthouse Historic District, listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1975. |
