| 説明 | Built in 1929, this Art Deco-style building was designed by Trost and Trost for George Luhrs, Jr. to serve as a commercial office building. The building stands 14 stories and 185 feet (56 meters) tall, with setbacks at the east and west sides of the building at the 8th floor and 11th floor, giving the building a tapered form. The building is clad in stucco with terra cotta trim and reliefs, metal-frame casement windows, an arched main entrance bay at the central bay of the first floor of the Jefferson Street facade with a decorative trim surround, granite cladding at the base, and decorative floral Art Deco reliefs at the building’s parapets and upper floors. The building today remains in use as a commercial office building. |
