| 説明 | Salix fragilis growing towards the south end of the Indreland Audubon Wetland Preserve, east end of Bozeman, Gallatin County, Montana. Salix fragilis, with its long straight branch ends with yellowish bark and that readily break away (disarticulate) from the mother tree as a form of vegetative propagation are distinguishing traits of this introduced willow species. Fragile willow is confined to wet sites within human habitation, whether in town or around ranches and farms. This will is rare if not absent from sites where native vegetation abounds (i.e., sites not heavily impacted by humans). This site is near the south edge of the Indreland Audubon Wetland Preserve where human impact remains significant, including the recent construction and installation of a sewer line adjacent to this site. |
