| 説明 | Phlox multiflora abundant in the open understory or forest edge of Pinus albicaulis (whitebark pine) of Vipond Park, Pioneer Mountains, Beaverhead County, Montana. The glabrate leaves of Phlox multiflora distinguish this phlox species from the other less common phlox species in this area, Phlox pulvinata. This Phlox multiflora population was growing in montane meadow adjacent to stands of Pinus albicaulis, so perhaps the more sunny environment resulted in leaves that are glabrate and slightly broader compared to the slightly narrower and sparsely villous leaves of Phlox pulvinata growing in more shaded whitebark pine understory environments. |
