| 説明 | Day 3 of our long weekend, and today we explored the New Forest itself. Sad to see all that it left of Lyndhurst library. Must had transfered to community maagement some time ago - but while all the signs still point to "public library", all that remains in the community centre is a children's section. If you can only keep a tiny space going, then focusing on the children’s collection, storytime and similar activities is I guess a justified decsion. But what a shame. The heritage centre close by has a reference library – so perhaps that is where the local history collection went. |
