| 説明 | I visited Fort Washington on 1 February, 2025 - I made five images, and this was one of them.My mother had referred to the structure on the left-hand side of this image as a "hobbit hole." I expect it's a magazine / ammunition store.I'm not completely thrilled with the focus here. I can't be sure if I failed to judge it correctly on the ground glass or if something shifted between composition and capture, but I had intended plane of focus to intersect the magazine quite a bit more than it does, and the ditch quite a bit less.This image was digitized from a 4x5" negative. The film stock is Ilford Delta 100. Developed with Rodinal at 1:50 for 10 minutes at 68 degrees Fahrenheit.Digitization with a mirrorless camera and macro lens. Image processing (dynamic range stacking, sharpening, image stitching, etc.) accomplished with the open-source tools Darktable, Hugin, and GIMP.The final resolution of this digital image is in excess of 150 megapixels. jpeg compression was necessary to bring it within Flickr's 200MB file size limit. |
