| 説明 | Built in 1918-1924, this Gothic Revival-style building was designed by Eschweiler and Eschweiler for the Wisconsin Telephone Company to serve as the company’s headquarters. The building is clad in buff brick with stone trim, a hipped roof, pinnacles at the corners of the building, a massing that tapers with setbacks towards the roofline, arched bays at the top levels of the building, and a modified first and second floor facade clad in stone panels with a large relief of a bell above the front entrance. The building is a contributing structure in the East Side Commercial Historic District, listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1986. The building today is known as the AT&T Center, and is home to the offices and main switchboard of AT&T in Milwaukee. |
