| 説明 | Following the 1923 Grouping, the Southern Railway completely rebuilt the main railway station in Exeter on the fastest, shortest & most direct route to London, at that time known as Queen Street, transforming it into a handsome sweeping curvilinear frontage to the east of the track. The Southern Railway renamed it as Exeter Central. Access to the commodious platforms was via footbridges at either end manufactured in the new Southern Railway concrete works at nearby Exmouth Junction.This Christmas we are in Exeter, Devon and the temperature is a balmy 13C on Christmas Eve. Time to re-visit some favourite spots from the last 30 years of visiting this area. |
