説明 | F1917.179 Stone H x W x D: 214 × 59 × 64 cm (84 1/4 × 23 1/4 × 25 3/16 in)This statue is crude for the period when compared to works done near Changan (Capital of Tang Dynasty). However, it is rare to find statues of such size for this period due to the cost of production. The oddity between this statue size and crudity suggest it might be sculpted on Tang empire's border land, where the commissioner tries to copy the Changan statue style but lacks the appropriate sculptor. |
