| 説明 | I took this picture in november 2019, in Paris, one month after Hevrin Khalaf's murder in north Syria. She was a Syrian Kurdish politician, member of the leadership of the Syrian Democratic Council. Hevrin Khalaf was a leading figure in the autonomous Kurdish region of Rojava, in northeastern Syria. In 2018, in Raqqa, she took part in the formation of a center-left, multi-ethnic party advocating a democratic, plural and decentralized Syria, of which she was the leading female figure.On October 12, 2019, she was executed, along with her driver and one of her deputies, by “Syrian National Army” rebels who had intercepted her vehicle on the highway.The Syrian National Army (SNA) is a collection of heterogeneous groups backed by Turkey. In fact, the SNA is under Turkish orders.There is reason to worry about the military operations that Turkey will lead after the fall of Bashar El-Assad in Kurdish northern Turkey.I'm reposting here some photographs I took at random during rallies in France, in Lyon and Marseille, and Paris, denouncing the massacres in Syria in the midst of total international indifference. |
