| 説明 | (Video) My guide takes a brief video of me as I walk up the small hillock to the photo point and cafe in Sonmarg in Kashmir, India on the road to Ladakh. Our jeep driver did not specify what this stop was about, but there was a small shack atop the hill serving tea and snacks, so I guess it must have been merely a stop for a dash of Kashmir's signature beverage 'kahwa' and tea. There were a couple of teapoys and a handful of plastic chairs at the spot as you can see, so I guess it's for tourists who want to relax a bit with tea or kahwa (Kashmir's signature hot beverage) and some snacks. In the background seems to be what looks like a mini glacier, but it was fairly tame and had nothing much going for it. It was quite cold and pretty windy at that spot, I was wondering how the tea shack owner was standing in that cold for hours on end serving tea to customers. The road in the distance leads to Ladakh- there was no other traffic that day as the road was closed due to heavy snowfall, according to our jeep driver.(Sonmarg/ Sonamarg, Kashmir, India, Apr/ May 2024) |
