| 説明 | As we head back to Srinagar, after an interesting day in Sonmarg, Kashmir, India, we made several photo stops on the way to take in the fabulous Alpine scenery. We pass a series of tents on the banks of the Sind (Sindh) river as we exit Sonmarg. Wonder what those are all about. The Sind (Sindh) river in the Ganderbal district of Kashmir, India, is a major tributary of the Jhelum River and is 108 km in length. The source of this river lies in the Machoi Glacier at an elevation of 4,800 mtr east of the Amarnath cave temple and south of the Zoji La.
