| 説明 | Tonight was clear and the comet was visible with the naked eye. Each night the comet is higher in the sky as it moves away from the sun. Took this shot with my i-phone. A faint anti-tail can be seen emanating from the comet towards the ground. Read about anti-tails here: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anti-tailThe dust and ion tails point away from the sun as they are produced by solar wind while the anti-tail appears to point towards the sun. It is caused by trailing debris and points in the opposite direction from the movement of the comet like a tire track. |
