The most important Sr-bearing minerals are celestite (SrSO4, strontium sulfate) and strontianite (SrCO3, strontium carbonate).Thirty-six isotopes of strontium are known - five occur naturally. The most common variety is strontium-88. Strontrium-84, strontium-86, and strontium-87 occur in minor to small amounts.
