| 説明 | When Turkey Vultures gather like these four, it is known as a “kettle” They are non-aggressive and feed on carrion or dead animals which they can smell a mile away. They are an important ecological bird, otherwise we’d have a lot of disgusting dead animals laying around. Their featherless heads, while not handsome to humans, is handy for sticking their heads inside dead carcasses of animals. Less messy that way. These four were seen at our neighbor’s driveway, one, enjoying a grey squirrel while the others waited patiently for their turn. |
