| 説明 | Built in 1931, this Art Deco-style building was designed by Weary and Alford for the First National Bank and Trust Company of Oklahoma City to serve as the bank’s headquarters and a commercial office building. The building stands 33 stories and 443 feet (135 meters) tall, and was the tallest building in Oklahoma City from the time of its completion until 1971, when the BancFirst Tower was completed. The building is clad in limestone with a hipped roof and spire, a massing that tapers with setbacks towards the roofline, decorative spandrels, Art Deco reliefs and motifs, decorative metal trim around the first floor entrance bay and windows at the base of the building, and dark panel cladding at the first floor. The interior features a lobby with Art Deco elements, a large banking hall with a vaulted ceiling and Classical Revival columns on the second floor, Art Deco chandeliers, murals on the vaulted ceilings, and stone floors. The building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2018. Between 2017 and 2022, the building was rehabilitated for adaptive reuse as a hotel, apartments, and retail space. |
