| 説明 | Built in 1962, this Modern New Formalist building was constructed as an office building for the state government of Oklahoma. The building is reminiscent of the work of Minoru Yamasaki at the time it was built, and features hexagonal windows, vertical ribs and exterior columns, a setback rooftop penthouse, recessed entrance bays, and a raised lawn surrounded by concrete retaining walls at the base. The building is one of two nearly identical six-story office buildings that flank the grassy lawn to the north of the Oklahoma State Capitol, and houses various offices for departments of the state government. |
