説明 | The newly developed gardens include a walk through deep time, where visitors eventually come face-to-face with a Diplodocus. The plants represent key moments over the 540 million years of evolution of life. Starting with mosses and liverworts, the planting then transitions into ferns, cycads, conifers and horsetails, eventually ending with the evolution of flowering plants and grasses. Okay - all very ambitious - however the tree ferns do not look like they appreciate the harsh, baking environment, stuck as they are between the, heat reflecting, stone facade of a huge building and the Cromwell Road! They do not look happy! Please give them some water and some shade!! |
