| 説明 | The aeration fountain in Lake Merritt is backlit by the sun during the Golden Hour. Located in the Trestle Glen arm of the lake, near the Pergola. The sun was 3.7 degrees above the horizon, 22 minutes before sunset, the Golden Hour. A personal note: I actually designed the original version of this fountain while working at an environmental engineering company in the late 1980's, under contract to the Lake Merritt Institute. The design involved choosing a size that optimized capital and operational costs to raise dissolved oxygen concentrations to desired levels. |
