| 説明 | The Anderton Boat Lift is a two-caisson lift lock near the village of Anderton, Cheshire, in North West England. It provides a 50-foot (15.2 m) vertical link between two navigable waterways: the River Weaver and the Trent and Mersey Canal. It was constructed in 1875 and more recently has had an extensive refit to bring its' operation up to date. There is a visitor centre close nearby where you can find out about it and its' operation. On the day I visited canal boats could be seen being raised and lowered in the lift.en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anderton_Boat_Lift |
