| 説明 | We're having a visit from Kylie who wanted to visit the Nespresso Shop, and Laura had business to take care of at the Merseytravel Centre and the Library so against all my better instincts we set off for town.I did get a decent car spot out of it. When I saw these two nose to tail I felt I had to take a shot to send to my nephew, Peetu.In front we've got the always interesting VW Karmann Ghia in what looks like the earlier Type 14 variant, though I'm not expert. Behind it we've got the perhaps less interesting but likely rarer sight of a very British car, a Triumph Spitfire, in LHD format, and you'll go a long way to see one of those in Britain.The Spitfire wasn't a great car at all but was at least a dream to work on, as I remember you could just lift the huge front hinged bonnet and sit on a wheel when you were servicing the engine!Laura got her stuff sorted. The Nespresso Shop had run out of the right flavour, and then we came home and fitted a clutch cable to Kylie's car. There's a story that the world is not yet ready for... |
