| 説明 | Archival photographs in the HAL Museum, Bangalore: this one shows the side profile of a Douglas DC- 3 Dakota aircraft used in India. Note that the aircraft already carries the VT acronym, which is standard for all aircraft registered in India. The Douglas C-47 Skytrain or Dakota (RAF designation) is a military transport aircraft developed from the civilian Douglas DC-3 airliner. The C-47 military version differed from the civilian DC-3 by way of numerous modifications, including being fitted with a cargo door, hoist attachment and strengthened floor, along with a shortened tail cone for glider-towing shackles, and an astro dome on the cabin roof.
