| 説明 | Geysers are hot springs that episodically erupt columns of water. They occur in few places on Earth. The highest concentration of geysers anywhere is at the Yellowstone Hotspot Volcano (northwestern Wyoming, USA).“Halo Geyser” is a nickname that has been applied to an otherwise-unnamed, small perpetual spouter in the Black Sand Basin of Yellowstone’s Upper Geyser Basin. The feature’s catalog designation is UNNG-BSB-5. It is located 27 meters northwest of Cinnamon Spouter and about 8.5 meters south of Handkerchief Pool. The proximal runoff channel heads southwest from the geyser’s pool but then drains south and southeast toward Iron Spring Creek. Eruptions from Halo Geyser were first noted in 1996 (see Bryan, 2018, The Geysers of Yellowstone, Fifth Edition, p. 192). |
