It really broke my heart when GMC discontinued making Saturns. Actually, no. It made and makes me angry that they let that division (and Pontiac and Olds) go and kept the.... Well, you get the idea.I intended to keep my Saturn until it just wouldn't run. But it was using oil and I got a leak in the radiator. It was just time, I guess. 176,000 miles is a lot of miles.But none of this explains my stress in buying a new car. Normally I think I could buy a new car everyday without breaking a sweat. But let me write two words and see how you react: car payments. I haven't made car payents in seven (7) years. And money is already tight. I'm not a new car kind of guy. I don't get a testosterone lift out inhaling the interior of a new automobile, but the (my) Honda Insight is a tech lover's delight. It's a hyrid and has enough engineering thingies behind it to make every operation a fascinating study. Great car so far. Mileage: 43 miles to the gallon and increasing.
