| 説明 | Church of All Saints, Culmstock Devon The present building of local limestone rubble with Hamstone and Beerstone ashlar detail, was built in more than one phase between 15c & early 16c It consists of a nave with clerestorey windows (an unusual feature for Devon), lower chancel, north and south aisles, south porch, three stage west tower with semi-octagonal stair turret projecting from its south-east corner., topped with an embattled parapet with corner pinnacles (each surmounted by a wrougnt iron weather vane www.flickr.com/gp/52219527@N00/oZ2z816745 ) . Curiously a yew tree of some size can be seen against the side of the stair-turret. It has reputedly been growing there since at least 1750, and possibly earlier ( ! ) www.flickr.com/gp/52219527@N00/The baptistry projects from north aisle.
