| 説明 | Built in 1933, this Classical Revival-style building was designed by H. A. Churchill and John T. Gillig under the supervision of James A. Wetmore to serve as a United States Post Office and United States Courthouse for the city of Lexington, Kentucky. The building features a limestone-clad exterior with a marble base, doric pilasters, decorative trim surrounds at the main entrance doors, four-over-four double-hung windows, decorated metal spandrels, lamppost-style light fixtures flanking the main entrance doors, two-story porticoes above the main entrances with fluted doric columns, and architraves with triglyphs. The building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1999. Today, the building serves as a United States Courthouse and Federal Office Building for the city of Lexington, Kentucky. |
