| 説明 | Built circa 1929, this Art Deco-style building was constructed as the home of the Lexington Laundry Company, and is one of the best examples of Art Deco architecture in the state of Kentucky. The building features a terra cotta facade with a modified stone-clad first floor, decorative Art Deco-style reliefs, chevron-shaped window mullions, and a modern metal sculpture atop the roof. The building is a contributing structure in the Lexington Downtown Commercial Historic District, listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1983. Today, the building is part of the Pam Miller Downtown Arts Center. |
