It was a partly sunny day with the occasional light breeze. On a Southwest facing dolomite glade, this remarkable snake was found one terrace down from the very top of a bald knob. It was flipped under a thin, flat rock sealed to the ground with a little moisture underneath. Upon capture it was flighty, having warmed up from the little sun coming through the thin veil of clouds. It did position itself nicely when I put my lense cap over it.Taney County, Missouri |
