| 説明 | Built in 1967-1970, this Modern International-style skyscraper was designed by Harrison, Abramovitz, and Abbe for United States Steel. The building stands 64 stories and 841 feet (256 meters) tall, and was the tallest building in Pittsburgh and in the state of Pennsylvania at the time of its completion, remaining the tallest building in Pittsburgh today, but having lost its state status to One Liberty Place in Philadelphia in 1987. The building features a triangular footprint, a weathered steel exterior, exterior steel columns and beams dividing the facade into a grid, rectangular windows, a landscaped plaza at the base, and a large recessed glass-enclosed lobby at the first floor of the building. The building today remains in use as the home of the headquarters of US Steel, as well as the home of the headquarters of UPMC, the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center. |
