| 説明 | Built in 1927-1929, this Art Deco-style building was designed by Henry Hornbostel and Eric Fisher Wood to serve as a commercial office building. The building stands 40 stories and 485 feet (148 meters) tall, and features a buff brick and red brick exterior, replacement fixed windows, a limestone-clad base, a massing that tapers with setbacks towards the top, and a light well that opens to the Grant Street facade. The building was the tallest building in Pittsburgh until 1968, when the K&L Gates Center was completed, and is the most heavily modified of the historic skyscrapers in downtown Pittsburgh. |
