| 説明 | Reaching the ruins of the once grand St. Paul's church atop Bukit Melaka (previously St. Paul's Hill), it is quite apparent that the foreground structure has been recently painted. The foreground structure was incidentally once a light house- now abandoned. Steeped in history, the remnants of St. Paul's church are one of the oldest historical sites in UNESCO World Heritage listed town of Malacca/ Melaka in Malaysia. The church was constructed in 1521 before which, the building was just a chapel. By the end of the sixteenth century, they named the Church ‘Igreja de Madre de Deus’.The Church came into existence when the Portuguese colonised Malacca in 1511.
