| 説明 | This historic Bastion House near Stadthuys in the historic Dutch Square in the UNESCO World Heritage town of Malacca/ Melaka in Malaysia. Bastion House now houses the Malay and Islamic World Museum (Malay: Muzium Dunia Melayu Dunia Islam). This museum showcases Malay and Islamic cultures in Malacca/ Melaka. Bastion House building was built in 1910 and was occupied by the British rubber company Dunlop until 1986. (hence the word Dunlop on the building facade). The building hence exhibits English architectural elements, line the rectangular design with deep slanted and gabled roofs. Back to the Islamic museum, although I did not go in for want of time, it is said to deal with and display information about the spread of Islam in the world, important and historical Malay and Muslim figures, important Islamic buildings, artifacts, traditional dress etc. of the region.
