| 説明 | At the far end of the historic quarter were a couple of Malay- Indian restaurants serving banana leaf thali meals. I am at the fag end of the pedestrianized street (in the evenings on weekends only) on which my hotel is located, in the UNESCO World Heritage listed historic district in Malacca/ Melaka. In fact I am at the other end of the street leading to the heritage district. Rather than backtrack back to the heritage district and the famous Jonker Walk, which I will be exploring is some detail on the following day anyway (see subsequent pictures later in this album). I decided to have one of those Malay- Indian thali meals, served on a banana leaf. The taste was just so so-but in all fairness to the restaurant, my lack of enthusiasm also probably had to do with the total lack of appetite due to the muggy weather.
