| 説明 | Against the backdrop of the wall mural welcoming visitors to Malacca/ Melaka, here are the remnants of the old Malacca/ Melaka fortress near my hotel in the UNESCO World Heritage listed town of Malacca/ Melaka in Malaysia. This is an excavated area revealing foundation stones, and is all that remains of a bastion in the city walls of Malacca which were built by the Portuguese and Dutch and demolished by the British. Notes and more pictures of excavated fort walls appeared earlier in this album as well (see previous pictures), so I shall save you any further commentary.. (Malacca/ Melaka, Malaysia, Sept. 2023) |
