| 説明 | Back on Jonker Walk by day, I am about to have lunch in the legendary Geographer Cafe on the street. But before that, here is a selfie in front of the cafe- this is from across the street, as the building wouldn't fit in the frame otherwise. Geographér Café is conveniently located in a conspicuous corner pre-war shop house right in the heart of most happening street in Melaka, the Jonker Walk. Geographér Café promotes healthy food and is reputed to serve white meat dishes (chicken and seafood), and no red meat. A variety of drinks are served though, both alcoholic and non- alcoholic, in addition to coffee and tea. Back to Jonker Walk, this is the Chinatown area in Malacca/ Melaka, Malaysia. This colourful and full of energy (especially at night) street starts from just across the Malacca River opposite to the Stadthuys museum on Dutch Square. It's busiest on Fri, Sat and Sunday nights from 18:00 till 00:00. By day, the vibe of Jonker Walk was not even a fraction of what it was at night- I visited here the street the previous evening as well. More notes about Jonker Walk appeared earlier in this album.
