| 説明 | Malacca/ Melaka trishaw ride pic. 5 of 8: I am in the UNESCO World Heritage listed town of Malacca/ Melaka in Malaysia and am taking a ride on one of those iconic Malacca/ Melaka trishaws. After the trishaw driver made me get off at one point so that he could push his machine up a steep incline, at the spot where the side street meets the main road, I am back on board again, a few seconds later. We now cross more trishaws with delighted tourists on them. One major feature of the trishaws in Melaka is that their trishaw owners/ drivers take special pride in their rides, so much so that they put in extra efforts to decorate them. Some are more colourful or garish than the others, but garish or not, gawking at the different brightly lit trishaws is a joy in itself. From this, you would have gathered by now that although these trishaws operate even by day, they are a lot more fun by night, for the cooler weather apart, the funky disco lights come on only at night. Many of these trishaws are fitted with music systems to entertain tourists and delighted onlookers. Indeed, a ride on one of the brightly lit Malacca/ Melaca trishaws with disco lighting and loud music is an experience you will never forget.
