| 説明 | Malacca/ Melaka River cruise- pic 19 of 22: I am on the leisure Melaka River cruise in the UNESCO World Heritage listed town of Malacca/ Melaka in Malaysia. The boat passes by several historic and/ or interesting buildings on the way and also passes under two or three historical bridges. This is the third of those historic bridges- Another bridge we crossed on our return leg- this is the Pasar Bridge (built during either during the 1500’s or 1600’s) linking Kampung Hulu to the Old Central Market. This originally wooden bridge was built during the heydays of Portuguese rule in Malacca/ Melaka. There is a commentary playing throughout the cruise, but sadly that tends to get drowned by other external sounds, like that of the boat's engine, the lapping of waves against the boat's bow and cross talk amongst the other passengers.
