| 説明 | A Black Panther in the Malacca/ Melaka zoo. Although the animal has his back to me, I was quite lucky to see this rare and elusive animal this close. As you can see here, the Black Panther has spots as well. The Black Panther is basically the melanistic (having a larger than normal black pigment) colour variant of the Leopard and the Jaguar. Black Panthers have been documented mostly in tropical forests, with black leopards in Africa and Asia, and black jaguars in South America.
