| 説明 | Istana Kesultan Melaka museum: pic. 15 of 18: A diorama depicting traders from China in the Istana Kesultan Melaka museum. Silks, porcelain and tin ware made up a major portion of Malacca's trade with China. Malacca/ Melaka was a major trading post and brought in traders from all over the globe, even before the coming of the various European invaders. The Istana Kesultan Melaka- the Sultanate Palace Museum, set at the foot of St. Paul’s Hill, Malacca, is an authentic wooden replica of Sultan Mansur Shah’s palace that was built in the 15th century. It is now a beautiful museum which exhibits the opulent lifestyle of the erstwhile Sultan and also artifacts and dioramas pertaining to the history of Malacca/ Melaka. More notes about the Itana Kesultan Melaka museum appeared earlier in this album. (see previous pictures). (Malacca/ Melaka, Malaysia, Sept. 2023) |
