Of course, Malacca/ Melaka is a touristy place, so tourist prices apply. At any rate, you are relying on human power, so the pedicab drivers are making a living out of this. All these negative feelings soon disappear as the ride commences- some of the drivers are pretty gabby, but you can't hear much of what they are saying as many of these funky trishaw are fitted with sound systems blaring out a cacophony of local and western music. While most of the drivers line up on and around Dutch Square, some of the even line up near other tourist sites in the vicinity, like this lot in front of the Menara Taming Sari observation tower.
