| 説明 | A Tiger was fast asleep at the far end of his enclosure in the Malacca/ Melaka zoo. Sadly, this is the only picture I could get of him, so I am not sure if this is a Bengal Tiger or a Sumatran Tiger- the latter is quite likely due to Malacca's proximity to the Sumatran geographical area. I will therefore spare you much commentary about this animal. All I will say is that the Tiger is the largest living cat species and a member of the genus Panthera. An apex predator, the Tiger preys primarily on ungulates, such as deer and wild boar. Notes about the Malacca/ Melaka zoo appeared earlier in this album. (see previous pictures).
