| 説明 | Established in 1960, this museum was created to conserve and interpret the relics from the long history of Paros, with many parts of the island having major human activity and development during Antiquity, starting around 3200 BC with the Minoan population that arrived on the island from Crete. The museum was set up at a time when the nearby Panagia Ekatontapiliani church complex was undergoing a major restoration, which uncovered many relics. The museum today primarily serves as a tourist attraction for visitors to the island, as the museum sits close to other major historical sites, including the Panagia Ekatontapiliani church. |
