| 説明 | When we moved here from Chicago one of the first projects I did with my kids was to pick out some fruit trees and plant them in our big, coral-filled yard. It was a large project digging through coral fossil "soil" and replacing it with top soil. Now, after nearly four years all of the trees are thriving and the bees are having a blast. The most disappointing tree had been the key lime tree which I had almost given up on. A few months ago I decided to prune all of the dead branches and now it is going crazy with blooms. Tracey is already comtemplating key lime gin and tonics. The most satisfying tree is the mango tree which the kids named Apu. Last year it produced nearly seventy delicious mangos. If the blooms are any indication of future results we may have triple that number this year. This collage is what the blooms look like this morning. |
