| 説明 | Originally a spectacular 1903 Art Nouveau building in downtown Buenos Aires designed by Alfred Massue. The building was to be demolished in 1989 to build a new office building, but popular outcry caused the owners to direct the architecture firm to design around the "viewing tower" while demolishing the rest of the building.While only a partial preservation of this important architecture, it does represent the beginning of Buenos Aires' realization of the importance of historic preservation.The name Mirador Massue translates to Massue's viewpoint. |
