| 説明 | 1850 Stained glass window by E. Baillie, London, in the chancel east window, rebuilt in 19c , shows the Huyshe family tree and heraldry : "To the glory of God and in memory of General Alfred Huyshe CB Royal, late Bengal Artillery; Born in this parish and for forty six years a brave and faithful soldier in the service of his Country. His widow and five sons have placed this window March 1886He was born Aug 8; 1811 and died Feb 25; 1880"(General Huyshe joined the Bengal Artillery in 1827, served as Brigade Major of Artillery during the Gwalior campaign (1843) and commanded a troop of horse artillery throughout the Sikh wars of 1848-1849, including the battles of Chillianwallah and Gujarat. Following the British annexation of the Punjab, he was active in several expeditions on the frontier at Peshawar. He ended his career at Inspector-General of Artillery in Bengal, and retired in 1877. He was made a Companion of the Bath.
