| 説明 | Built in 1893 and expanded to its present size in 1919, this Renaissance Revival-style building is clad in stone with a hipped roof, semi-circular eyebrow dormers, large metal windows, a tall stone smokestack with a flared base, stone balustrades, and both rectilinear and roman arched window bays. The building remains in use as a pumping station, providing water from the Ohio River to Louisville Water Company, the city’s water utility company. |
