| 説明 | the name of this river is Balashon, and it is called Buree Balashon. 'Buree", in my mother tongue, Bengalee, is a feminine term for someone old.Many stories, poems, folk tales and folk songs talk about this Granny river; Which is flowing only two kms away from my home(my real home), with it's knee-deep but transparent water. A lot of people, who live around this Buree Balashon, collect stones and pebbles. If you see a kid collecting stones from the river, you'd be sure that his mother and grandmother are breakingthe stones and his father and grand father(if alive) are loading them to a truck. If you don't know this and don't see them, it'll sound like a thousand of wind chimes! |
