| 説明 | A tram ride in Malawati village in Kuala Selangor up the hill to Bukit Malawati (Malawati Hill) is part of the Kuala Selangor fireflies tour. You can see a cannon, some fortifications and get a view of the Selangor coastline from this spot atop Bukit Malawati (Malawati Hill). This hill is the highest point in Kuala Selangor, and as a historical site, Bukit Melawati also has several remnants from the past to hold the interest of history buffs. I read later that one could see the Straits Of Malacca on a clear day, or admire the sunset on a clear day, as well as catch a glimpse of some fishing settlements, which I could spot none of, unfortunately. The relics of the past I'd referred to earlier are said to include the protective walls of the fort, the palace grounds, a lighthouse (see previous picture earlier in this album), royal graves, seven walls, a flat stone used for beheading offenders, a 100-step ladder, a poisonous well and several cannons pointed at the moth of the Selangor River (Sungai Selangor). Sadly, as the hill was only a stop before the fireflies tour, our guide did not point out the interesting spots atop the hill and simply dropped us off here to feed the monkeys and wait till the next tram back down.
