| 説明 | My wife and I were on an adventure today after visiting Acadia National Park. As we drove down Highway 1 the foliage at times covered the entire road in a cascade of fall colors. I spotted Jones pond and decided to take a chance on finding a unique spot off the beaten path. I hope you enjoy what we found…. Jones Pond, and the Jones Pond Public Access and Recreation Area, are located in Gouldsboro, Maine in Hancock County just below or south of U.S. Route 1 between Route 186 on the western side of the peninsula and Route 195. To gain access to the recreation area and the boat landing, take Route 195 south from U.S. Route 1. Go about a quarter mile, watching for a dirt road turnoff on the right called Recreation Road. A little way in is a quaint little picnic and swimming area with a boat launch owned and maintained by the town of Gouldsboro. It has a nice little playground for the children and restrooms.
